Jay-Paul Thibault has several hobbies; his primary interests involve glass blowing, and long distance cycling.
 |
Jay-Paul Thibault started blowing glass back in 2001 at Janke Studios in Atlanta, GA. Jay-Paul took long breaks in between sessions due to the demands of running a business.
Although his training has progressed slowly he has improved over the years to the point where he can make elegant vases and plates as well as the occasional wine glass. His focus so far has been on blown glass but he will soon be moving into the area of cast glass and maybe working with his sister on fused glass artwork. He says that he enjoys this art form because it allows him to combine several things that he enjoys: it allows him to express his artistic side while requiring technical knowledge about the materials mixed in with the excitement of working with molten glass that gets as hot as 2,200 degrees F. |

Jay-Paul Thibault enjoys cycling not so much for the sake of cycling as it is the experience of traveling and meeting people.
Although he has raced before, participated in triathlons, and bicycled 30 to 100 miles a day; he enjoys being on the road for extended periods of time, camping out and seeing a new place every day.
This has allowed him to be very flexible when it comes to traveling and the accommodations made available. |
